| Do You Want to be Santa Claus this Christmas while inspiring and empowering yourself? |
| This Christmas I will be in Guatemala. Although a very beautiful country geographically, Guatemala suffers from the highest rate of chronic malnutrition in all of Central America. Access to doctors and professional medical help is limited in many communities including right around Lake Atitlan where I will be living for 3 months. Poverty is rampant. |
| While in Guatemala, I knew that I wanted to make a greater contribution than just paying rent and buying food. I was divinely inspired with an idea and it involves you! |
| Last month, Overcomers Inc., True Stories of Hope, Courage and Inspiration was released and became an Amazon best seller. I was one of the 38 authors in the book so becoming a best selling author is a dream of mine now fulfilled! |
| This book is full of inspiring stories that can help each and every one of us to overcome challenges and problems. If we all knew that we could just do it, we´d have even greater success in our lives. So how we can take that inspiration and multiply it into something even greater and grander. |

| Overcomers Inc. Meets Coffee Kids |
An organization that I know of through two very dear friends is Coffee Kids. Coffee Kids helps families that grow coffee to move from complete dependence on an annual crop to a more sustainable way of life. Many coffee bean pickers are only paid 4 cents per pound for grueling work that must be done manually. |
| Moving out of the cycle of poverty becomes impossible without additional assistance. |
| Through a series of programs, Coffee Kids has been helping families for over 20 years through microfinancing, health programs, education and community projects. They have raised and distributed over 4 million dollars to help coffee-farming families in their efforts to improve the quality of their lives. |
| Thousands of women have been helped through micro-credit loans. Many women have also received life-saving pre- and post-natal care and have been empowered to feed their families with more nutritious food. |
| Here is some of the work happening in Guatemala right now. |
| In San Pedro La Laguna, on the shores of Lake Atitlan, local women are trained to teach women in their communities pre-and post-natal care, the use of medicinal plants and the importance of a nutritious diet. |
| APROS Widow´s Project offers medical check-ups, basic food supplies, recreational activities, and a sense of belonging for women who have lost their husbands to migration or civil war. |
| The Adult Literacy Project has been improved to cater to adults who cannot attend regular classes due to work. Radio broadcasts and workbooks are used so that adults can complete learn in the comfort of their own homes. |
| ADESPA’s Bakery Project now employs two fulltime bakers (who were participants in the Literacy Project) who produce fresh bread for the town. The Health Project promotes homeopathic remedies for common ailments. A shoemaker is training women in the Handicrafts Project to make fashionable shoes and sandals. |
| Women being supported to be better mothers |
| Widows are taken care of |
| Adults are being taught to read by radio broadcasts |
| Sustainable work is being created |
| I intend to meet with these groups in the country and see first hand how we can better support these men and women. However, in the meantime… |
| What Can You and I Do Right Now? |
| For every Overcomers Inc. True Stories of Hope, Courage and Inspiration book sold through to December 25, 2009, I will donate $7.50 per book to Coffee Kids. The book is just $19.95 US plus a small shipping fee. |
| This book is a great Christmas present, a wonderful addition to a hospice or church library, and is the perfect pick-me-up for someone who is feeling under the weather, shut-in this winter or is facing high levels of stress. |
| Several people have already commented that Overcomers Inc. has made them feel more hopeful, optimistic and inspired. So getting the book out to people this Christmas can have a two-prong effect both here in the developed world and helping those in the developing world. |
| I know that when I get to Guatemala and see first-hand some of the living conditions, I am going to feel even more grateful for your support on this project. |
| You buy a book or even several for Christmas presents AND I will donate $7.50 per book to Coffee Kids. |
| As an additional thank you, I would like to offer you the Special Report on How to Eliminate Procrastination from Your Life Forever and the 20 minute healing meditation to release procrastination. This is a bonus that can help make 2010 your best year yet as you move ahead with passion and clarity. |
| This is your opportunity to be Santa Claus this Christmas to women, men and children in Guatemala. I trust you will be the best Santa Claus ever! |
| Happy Holidays! |
| P.S. Please share this invitation with people who know who would love to make their Christmas shopping more meaningful as they make a contribution to a better life for these beautiful people. |
| P.P.S. From the bottom of my heart thank you for joining me in this project. It means alot to me but it means so much more to the families we touch. If everybody who got this email bought just 1 book, we would be able contribute thousands of dollars to Coffee Kids and make a massive difference. Now isn´t that an exciting way to end 2009 and bring in a more prosperous feeling 2010! |
